Open 7am to 6pm Monday - Friday

At Doggy Business Dog Training & Lodging, we offer several ways for your dog to get some much needed exercise and socialization. We conduct supervised play groups everyday, Monday through Friday, focusing on improving your dogs play skills and abilities. There are three ways your dog can join our play groups:

One Hour Burn Sessions: Bring your dog to join one of our play session for an hour anytime between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. While here they can run around and play in our indoor and outdoor play areas with a great group of other dogs. $8.00.

Play Group 1 to 6 hours:  Let them burn even more energy and spend more time socializing by dropping your dog off for up to six hours of play. $18.00.

Over 6 hours: A full day of play at our facility includes our structured  & supervised play groups with small groups of dogs. During our play groups, we interact with each dog in the group to practice basic skills and to ensure positive socialization. $25.00 / 10 pack $230.00.

At Doggy Business, we work proactively to help dogs get along in our play groups. Dogs, like humans, are more comfortable and playful when they are as stress free as possible. We keep our play groups small, staying between 20 and 25 dogs at any one time. We always have at least two people on the play floor with the dogs. We do not introduce aversives (see Dog Frolic: Aversives) into our play groups to control behavior. That means we don't use spray bottles, Gentle Leaders, air horns, shake cans or other devises to control activity. Rather, we use sound behavior change techniques such as reinforcing appropriate behavior and introducing training into the play groups to teach appropriate play behavior.

If you have any questions about how we interact with our guests, please feel free to call our head trainer, Doug Duncan, at (503) 313-2200. You can also check out the following resources to learn more about appropriate ways to work with and train dogs in effective and positive ways.
